21 Home Staging Tips from

Staging vs. Decorating, What’s the Difference?

According to the National Association of Realtors, staged homes sell for 11% more than non-staged homes.

Staging is an incredibly effective way to make a home appeal to a wide range of buyers and helps to distract buyer’s from a home’s flaws.  By putting fresh and hip furniture, accent pieces, art work and accessories in a home, suddenly your outdated home is brought to life!

And really, how many of us have homes that look like a model home every day?  That’s not real life…professional stagers are usually trained in design and can make a home exponentially more appealing to potential buyers.

The cost for staging can vary and depends on the size of the home or number of rooms that are staged. If budget is an issue, focus on the main living areas and master bedroom only. While the fee is typically paid by homeowners rather than agents, the benefits well outweigh the cost.
